Security & Policing, the official UK Government global security event, returns to the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre between Tuesday 11 and Thursday 13 March 2025.

Hosted by the Home Office’s Joint Security & Resilience Centre (JSaRC), Security & Policing offers a world‐class opportunity to meet and discuss the latest advances in delivering national security and resilience with leading UK suppliers, UK and overseas government officials, and senior decision makers across the law enforcement and security sectors.

As well as being available at our exhibition stand NaCTSO will also be providing the following programme of keynotes and sessions across the three days:

Day one 

On the first day of the conference, a Counter Terrorism Policing threat update will be provided by a senior police officer at 15:00 on the spotlight stage. 

At 13:30 NaCTSO’s Head of Personal Capability will be providing an update on the Competent Persons Scheme on the spotlight stage.  Visitors will hear the latest on the two parts of the scheme.  The OfQual-approved, level 3 qualification, with the working title of Competent Person in the Workplace (CPIW) and a register of peer-reviewed CT Specialists, with the working title of Counter Terrorism Security Specialists Register (CTSSR)

Day two

On Day two, NaCTSO will be coordinating a panel of security experts and government officials to discuss strategies for dealing with changing threats from terrorism. The panel session will take place in the spotlight area at 14:30.

Day three

On the final day of the conference, the National Disruptive Effects Unit will be on hand at the government zone stall to engage with visitors as well as delivering a key note address at 12:30 on the spotlight stage. The National Disruptive Effects Unit are celebrating 10 years since the launch of the revolutionary Project Servator Project Servator | Counter Terrorism Policing and will be speaking about some of its main highlights over this period whilst also recognising the key role partners continue to play in making it a success. Project Servator aims to disrupt a range of criminality, including terrorism, whilst providing a reassuring presence for our communities. Developed in partnership with the National Protective Security Authority | NPSA Project Servator has been successful in gathering intelligence that has assisted counter terrorism units across the UK in investigating and preventing acts of terror. It has resulted in arrests for a multitude of offences and is responsible for removing illegal firearms, knives and drugs from the streets.
